Hello, I’m Hemanta Baral—a Data Centre Professional, Smart City Consultant, and author driven by a vision to shape Nepal’s digital future. Based in Kathmandu, I bring together decades of hands-on experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to advancing the ICT ecosystem.

I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Network Security from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. My journey began in Damak, Jhapa, and has evolved into a career dedicated to building resilient digital infrastructure, enabling smart cities, and strengthening national capacity in technology.

As an author, I have written over 30 books on computer science, including the widely used Textbook of Computer Science for Grades I to XII. My publications also span MS Office, Graphics, Web Development, and Computer Hardware & Networking—reflecting my passion for simplifying technology and empowering the next generation.

Beyond my professional roles, I actively contribute to knowledge sharing and policy-level engagement. I have been invited by the Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) as a Smart City speaker, delivering awareness programs across all seven provinces—helping bridge the gap between vision and implementation.
